Every other year, VA SOL students attend the Heirloom Festival held at the Santa Rosa fairgrounds. There, students meet and interview/speak with local farmers about sustainable farming techniques and have the opportunity to sit in on educational seminars focusing on best agricultural practices. The VA SOL core has also created a display booth, highlighting and showcasing our school “living laboratory” garden.
