Darlene Walley/Phil Bertoli/Taft Street
Darlene Walley allows Vineyard Academy to maintain her Villa Terra Bella Vineyard. She supports the academy by brining viticulture into the program. When it comes to the maintaining of the vineyard, Phil Bertoli who is a vineyard manager mentors students. He has dedicated countless hours in helping our academy care for the vineyard. He teaches skills and everything that it takes to keep up with a vineyard; this includes picking the grapes. When the grapes are picked they are sent over to Taft Street winery where the grapes are made into wine and packaged into wine bottles with Vineyard Academy’s student made label. With every wine sale from Taft Street, 90% of every wine bottle sale comes directly back into the academy.

The students that intern in the restaurant at Double tree get the opportunity to work in a professional kitchen and setting, getting a good taste of what the food industry is like.
