VA SOL students have the beneficial opportunity to participate in a variety of local field trips. Every other year, students take a tour of the Windsor Wastewater Treatment facility. Here, students learn how wastewater is collected, treated and then re-used in the local community. This experience is particularly relevant as California continues to experience major drought conditions and this field trip directly connects to the Global Sustainability units on global water supply and California’s drought.
